Believe me, we tried to un-iso them but they were actually artist rendered iso maps and not top-down maps that had been converted to isometric and therefore we were not able to reverse the process. Roll20 said, " Isometric Castle Ravenloft maps included for reference as player handouts, and also as interactive maps on the tabletop. Yes, the castle maps are not usable as tactical maps. Is anyone else currently playing Roll20s CoS module or has played it, and does anyone else share my frustration? I brought this up on Roll20 forum as well. Only thing I think I can do is perhaps show them to the players after they explored a whole section, just to show them how cool they are. My players are drawing near the castle and I keep gravitating towards the isometric maps asking myself how I could use them. But since there's no dynamic lighting, no preloaded tokens, no nothing, I'm left thinking what on earth was the point? I mean other than looking cool, which they do, they are pretty much non-usable. When Roll20 introduced the beloved isometric maps for Castle Ravenloft for their Curse of Strahd module they made a big hype about it. 1 Noticing that the castle maps included in Curse of Strahd are isometric, I thought people who use VTTs might appreciate some top-down ones.
